About the AILDT
|
One of the main reasons the AILDT was formed, was because of the associations begun while undertaking the grand project of Aisling, a play performed in Irish with running English translations and a whole lot of music, song, dance, and artistry mixed in!
There are many spectacular photographs, as well as some movie clips, from the world premiere of Aisling at the prestigious Lyceum Theater in downtown San Diego, California, on this website. Also available are photos from Aisling's second run at the East County Performing Arts Center, as well as the trailer for the Aisling DVD. Check out the links below!
The AILDT also sponsors the local Irish Language Classes taught in San Diego weekly. See the Events page for more details. Classes are free of charge, and open to the public.
Keep checking this website for information about on-going and up-coming activities of the Aisling Irish Language and Drama Troupe. If you would like to know more about the AILDT, or are interesting in contributing or becoming a member, please contact the webmaster. Remember, our ultimate goal is the spread of the beautiful and ancient Irish tongue as a spoken language.
